On the afternoon of the 16th June 1998 in the Stade du Parc Lescure in Bordeaux the world cup match between Scotland and Norway. In the city centre a number of bars were set up serving free lager to the fans who were not able to attend the match. In this particular weekend the visiting Scots managed to drink more beer than the entire town of Bordeaux consumed in a year. However, the most disturbing fact was perhaps the French hosts had forgotten to set up public toilets.
